Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has addressed concerns about her personal transformation, stating that she has changed because her old self was “too weak.”

The award-winning actress made this revelation on her Instagram page, where she shared a stunning photo of herself in a black outfit.

The post comes shortly after she and fellow actress Iyabo Ojo were trolled for their choice of attire at a birthday event over the weekend. Critics claimed that Toyin appeared uncomfortable in the outfit.

In what seemed like a response to the backlash, the actress wrote: “Yes, I’m changed because my old version is too weak but guess what? Even this new version of me sef weak bajebaje.”

The post has since sparked reactions, with fans and colleagues weighing in on her statement.

This development follows the success of Toyin Abraham’s latest film, Alakada Bad and Boujee (ABB), which has broken records at the box office. The movie grossed over 50 million naira, surpassing her previous achievements.

In an appreciation post, Toyin thanked her fans for their unwavering support. However, her message also contained a subtle jab at some of her colleagues who attract cinema audiences with giveaways. Although she did not mention names, actresses Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe have employed similar strategies to promote their films.
