The Kosofe Chamber of Commerce & Industry Cooperative Multipurpose Society (KCCI Cooperative) has announced an ambitious target of building a N1 billion investment portfolio, aiming to drive economic growth and empower local businesses.

Speaking at the inauguration of the society’s new executives in Lagos, Mr. Joe Femi-Dagunro highlighted the cooperative’s strategic plan to attract substantial investments.

He emphasised that the initiative is designed to enhance funding accessibility, stimulate economic activities across multiple sectors, and foster business networking opportunities.

According to him, the target will be realised through strategic partnerships and outreach to social investors aligned with the Chamber’s priorities.

The Area Officer of the Lagos Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Cooperative and Investments, Mrs. A.M. Onabanjo, urged the newly sworn-in executives to adhere to regulatory guidelines and exercise financial prudence.

Her address was complemented by a brief lecture from Mr. Kolawole Akinribido, Senior Registrar of Cooperative, who underscored the value of cooperative societies in fostering financial growth among members.

In her inaugural speech, the newly elected President of KCCI Cooperative, Mrs. Patricia Femi-Dagunro, assured members of a transparent and efficient management system focused on generating profitable investments.

She reiterated the society’s commitment to grassroots financial inclusion, ensuring that members reap long-term benefits.

The event was graced by notable figures, including Mr. Jide Aremo, Chairman of Supreme MfB; Dr. Muda Yusuf, CEO of CPPE; Dr. Mrs. Dideolu Adekogbe, CEO of Flourish Gate Consult; Mr. Benedict Odulana, General Manager of Distinguished Awards; Mrs. Vivian Eze, CEO of Halvan Hill Schools; and Mr. Ayodele Iyaomolere, CEO of Point Marketing Company.
