Sabinus calls out blogger for false news

Popular Nigerian content creator and comedian, Sabinus, has expressed concern over the increasing trend of bloggers spreading false information for attention.

He shared a private conversation between himself and a blogger who begged for forgiveness after posting damaging false news about him.

In the leaked chat, the blogger admitted that the controversial post was meant as “cruise” and not intended to harm Sabinus. He further revealed that he is a fan of Sabinus and his content, adding that he is currently trying to raise money to buy equipment to start creating content.

Calling himself Sabinus’ biggest fan, the blogger apologized profusely and expressed regret for his actions. He also pledged to support the comedian’s work by buying tickets for himself and his son to attend one of Sabinus’ shows.

Reacting via his Facebook page, Sabinus condemned the widespread practice of bloggers tarnishing and defaming individuals to gain massive attention. He stated that such behavior is becoming alarming and called for an end to it.

“The rate at which bloggers condemn, tarnish, disfigure, defame, slander, and blackmail people to get massive attention nowadays is highly alarming, and I think it’s high time it stopped!!!” Sabinus wrote.

He further emphasized the need for evidence when making claims, urging bloggers to provide proof—whether video, picture, or voice note—before spreading information.

“When you write something about people, abeg show evidence of where the person talk am. We celebrities are human too; we are not spirits!!” he added.
