Nigerian international Nathan Tella played a pivotal role in Bayer Leverkusen’s emphatic 4-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, delivering a stunning opener in a dominant away performance.

Tella set the tone for the rout in the 26th minute with a sublime strike, latching onto a well-weighted pass from Granit Xhaka before unleashing a powerful shot into the bottom left corner.

The goal marked a confident display from the winger, reinforcing his growing influence in Xabi Alonso’s high-flying squad.

Leverkusen doubled their lead just three minutes later when Nordi Mukiele reacted quickest to a rebound inside the box, rifling the ball into the net.

The visitors continued their relentless attacking play, adding a third in the 33rd minute through Patrik Schick, who finished clinically from the edge of the area after receiving an assist from Alejandro Grimaldo. A brief VAR review upheld the goal, solidifying Leverkusen’s commanding position.
