Nollywood actress and new mother Olayinka Solomon has shared an inspiring message for single mothers, noting the struggles, sacrifices, and resilience that come with raising children alone.
In a joint post with fellow actress Mercy Aigbe, Solomon stated that no woman finds true happiness raising children by different fathers, describing the experience as one often marked by struggles rather than peace.
She emphasized the distinction between biological fathers and responsible dads, stating that while many men can father a child, only a few stay to raise them.
“Sperm donors are plenty, but real fathers are rare,” she wrote. “Making a baby is easy, but sticking around to be a dad? That’s where boys get separated from men.”
Solomon also acknowledged the emotional and financial burden many single mothers carry, as they navigate expectations, stability, and the well-being of their children.
Despite these challenges, she offered words of encouragement, reminding single mothers that their strength is unmatched and their sacrifices are shaping a brighter future.
“To every single mother holding it down—your strength is unmatched, your love is unstoppable, and your sacrifices are shaping a brighter future. Behind every strong child is a single mother who gave everything, even when she felt she had nothing left,” she stated.
