Harvey Elliott struck deep into stoppage time to snatch a dramatic 1-0 victory for Liverpool over Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout tie at the Parc des Princes.

In a match where Liverpool were outplayed in every department, their only shot on target proved decisive.

PSG dominated possession, launching relentless attacks, but were thwarted time and again by an inspired Alisson Becker, who made ten crucial saves to keep the hosts at bay.

The Parisian side, led by Luis Enrique, registered a staggering 27 attempts on goal compared to Liverpool’s two, yet they failed to convert their overwhelming advantage into a lead.
