Controversial Nigerian singer Naira Marley has stirred reactions with his recent message to Muslim faithful observing Ramadan.
Taking to social media, the Marlian Music boss called out those who were fasting yet still engaging in football betting. In a direct statement, he urged them to break their fast if they couldn’t refrain from gambling.
“You are fasting and still betting on football? Go and eat, please,” he wrote.
His post quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While some agreed with him, others questioned his stance.
A user, @sabiigirlfashion, wrote, “I’ve never agreed with him until today.”
Another, @official_saddy, stated, “He is right.”
However, some were skeptical, with @melanin_ruth_ asking, “When did this one turn Imam?” and @emmanuel_onaolamipo saying, “Who is this one again? He is hustling for relevance.”
