In a dramatic turn of events, an advanced convoy team of Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum fought off a fierce Boko Haram ambush along the treacherous Buni Gari-Buni Yadi road, gunning down an unconfirmed number of terrorists and rescuing seven kidnapped passengers from their clutches.

Intelligent sources told Zagazola Makama,  a counter-intelligent experts that the convoy—comprising battle-hardened troops of Operation Hadin Kai, a Police Crack Team, and senior government officials—was returning from Biu Local Government Area when they encountered the terrorists, who were in the middle of abducting travelers from a Golf car.

Although Governor Zulum had earlier departed by helicopter and was not present, his security team sprang into action.

With rapid precision, the troops engaged the insurgents in a relentless gunfight, overwhelming them and forcing a hasty retreat.
