Peter Obi in closed-door meeting with Bauchi governor

Mr Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party is currently in a closed meeting with Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State.

The reason behind Obi’s visit to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP governor had not been disclosed as at the time of filing this report.

However, it is expected that the duo would address a news conference on the agenda immediately after the meeting.

Obi’s meeting with the Bauchi governor is coming amidst the ongoing realignment among Nigerian politicians ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

It’s believed that Obi who came third in the 2023 presidential election is gearing up to contest against in the 2027 poll.

Bala Mohammed is also rumoured to be interested in contsesting on the platform of his party in the 2027 election when his time as governor would have run out.
