Osimhen hits brace

Victor Osimhen put on a masterclass in goal-scoring as he fired Galatasaray to a crushing 4-0 victory over Antalyaspor in a fiery Turkish league encounter on Friday night.

The Nigerian superstar bagged a sensational hat-trick, sending the home fans into a frenzy and proving once again why he is one of Europe’s deadliest strikers.

The match burst into life in the 30th minute when Alvaro Morata unselfishly set up Osimhen for a simple tap-in, giving Galatasaray the breakthrough they had been pushing for.

But the floodgates truly opened just before halftime, when VAR awarded the home side a penalty after a handball by Ramzi Safuri. Morata stepped up and dispatched the spot-kick with precision, doubling the lead.

With Antalyaspor still reeling, Osimhen struck again deep into first-half stoppage time. Baris Alper Yilmaz played the ball across the face of goal, and the Nigerian forward was on hand to slot home, making it 3-0 before the break.

The Super Eagles talisman wasn’t done yet. Just seven minutes into the second half, he completed his hat-trick in style, finishing off a perfect pass from Yunus Akgun with a clinical strike into the bottom left corner.

Antalyaspor had no response as Galatasaray dominated proceedings, with Gabriel Sara coming close to adding a spectacular fifth from a free kick in the 67th minute.

Morata also had a chance to add to the scoreline late in the game, but Kenan Piric produced a fine save to deny him.

In the end, it was Osimhen’s night—a ruthless display from the Nigerian goal machine, who left defenders in his wake and sent a clear message to the rest of the league.
