Thirty suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
The suspects were arrested by operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of EFCC, on Friday March 14, 2025, Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the Commission said in in statement.
The anti-graft agency said five exotic vehicles and phones were seized from the suspects.
“The suspects were arrested based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.
“Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include five exotic cars and phones
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale said in the statement.
