The Metropolitan Police has been rocked by scandal as PC Nick Whitcombe, an officer attached to the South West Command Unit, faces three shocking sex offence charges, sending shockwaves through the force and the public.

Whitcombe, who was immediately suspended following his arrest, is set to appear before Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 18 March to answer to one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.

The alleged crimes reportedly took place on Tuesday, 9 April 2024, while the officer was off-duty.

Authorities have confirmed that the two female victims have been receiving support throughout the investigation.

Following the disturbing allegations, the Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been alerted, as public confidence in law enforcement faces yet another test.
