Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Otunba Oladipupo Oluwaloni as the Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
This follows the prolonged absence of the substantive chairman, Chief Mrs. Bolatito Shobowale, who has been away from office for over six months due to health reasons.
The appointment was conveyed in an official letter from the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Roberts, instructing Oluwaloni to assume office immediately to ensure the seamless administration of the council.
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by its chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, played a pivotal role in facilitating the leadership transition to maintain governance stability at the grassroots level.
In his reaction, Oluwaloni expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the APC leadership for their confidence in him. He pledged to uphold the responsibilities of the office with dedication, prioritising the welfare of residents and ensuring the continuity of governance.
“This appointment is a call to service, and I am fully committed to delivering effective, responsive leadership that aligns with the development agenda of our state,” Oluwaloni stated.
Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the development, expressing optimism that his leadership will bring stability and progress to Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
