Embattled Nollywood actor and comedian, Ijoba Lande, has called out controversial singer, Portable, for using his ongoing marital crisis as inspiration for a new song.
Lande, who recently accused his wife of having affairs with over 21 actors, expressed his outrage, reminding Portable of how he once publicly lamented over his own marital issues.
In a viral video, Lande, speaking in Yoruba, said:
“Portable, I see all the nonsense you are doing. You are using my life story to sing. You will pay for it. When they slept with one of your wives the other time, you were crying all over the Internet.”
Portable, known for his dramatic takes on trending issues, reportedly turned Lande’s controversial situation into a didactic song, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.
Lande’s wife had earlier admitted to infidelity and sought forgiveness, but the revelation stirred controversy online. Now, the comedian is furious that his personal struggles have become a subject of entertainment.
Social media users have reacted to the clash:
- @oluwa_semilorey: “This Lande guy… Just watching him talk alone makes me laugh out loud.”
- @hadeydayorfabrics: “He said he made an album out of my story.”
- @treat_by_momab: “Lande is such a cool man. I pray God restores all he has lost in multiple folds.”
- @okeajeoluwatosin: “An album based on my issue.”
