US rapper Kanye West has publicly criticized his former wife, Kim Kardashian, over what he perceives as her control over their children’s image and career choices.
The 24-time Grammy winner expressed his frustration in a series of posts on X, reacting to news of a planned musical collaboration between their 11-year-old daughter, North West, and rapper Playboi Carti, 28.
“So Kim got the name and likeness over my Black children,” West wrote, questioning Kardashian’s authority over their kids’ branding.
He further added, “So a white woman has control over the name and likeness of my Black children and then speaks to Carti about putting my daughter on a song with him.”
West, 47, also took aim at unnamed celebrities, writing, “These [dumb a**] celebrities be trying to play with me in my face.”
West and Kardashian, who divorced in 2022, share four children: North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
