Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong says the players  are poised to take on the Rwandan national team in the Word Cup qualifying encounter scheduled for Friday.

The match is an opportunity for the Eagles to reverse their dwindled fortunes in the World Cup qualifying series under the new coach, Eric Chelle.

Speaking on the team’s preparations, Troost-Ekong said, “Everything has been good. All the boys are fired up. Of course, we know we have a big job ahead, it comes with pressure but I keep saying to everyone that pressure is a privilege.

“It’s special when I’m here to have this badge on my chest. Being with the new coach we tried to welcome him as quickly as possible. He’s been clear about what he wants from us and what he’s expecting.”
