Sikiru “Omo Iya Eleja” Shogbesan, Nigeria’s first graduate boxer, is bringing brains and brawn to the ring, vowing to dismantle Segun Gbobaniyi with a deadly fusion of technology and biology at GOtv Boxing Night 33 on April 26 at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

The GOtv Boxing NextGen Search discovery, who boasts a Higher National Diploma in Microbiology and an Ordinary National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology (both with Upper Credit), has also completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Now, he’s ready to put his scientific prowess to work in the ring.

“Segun has no idea what’s coming. Even if he does, he won’t know how to stop it. My knowledge of technology and biology gives me an edge in the ring, and Segun won’t last beyond three rounds. Mark my words!” Shogbesan declared at his Lagos training camp on Friday.

Also set for action, Sodiq Oyakojo will battle Lateef “Latest” Azeez in the super featherweight division, while Durotimi Agboola and Sodiq Adeleke clash in the super bantamweight category.
