Popular skit maker, Deacon Famous, has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding his strained friendship with actress and best friend, Ekene Umenwa.

The duo stirred speculation after they unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to various rumours about the cause of their fallout.

The rift stemmed from Ekene Umenwa’s birthday message to Deacon Famous’ ex-girlfriend, Ada Uli.

Reports suggest that Deacon Famous’ wife was displeased with Ekene’s continued association with her husband’s ex, further straining the friendship.

However, Deacon Famous has now debunked claims that his wife was responsible for the fallout. Responding to a fan’s comment on his social media page, the skit maker denied the allegations and hinted at undisclosed reasons for the rift.
