Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the South-West leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has extended his warmest congratulations to police officer Bode Ojajuni who was recently elevated to the enviable rank of Commissioner of Police.
Ajadi, via a statement issued on Thursday morning, noted that the recent remarkable achievement is a testament to Ojajuni’s unwavering dedication and unrelenting commitment to excellence in his illustrious career.
The 2023 governorship candidate of NNPP further expressed his heartfelt admiration for Ojajuni’s well-deserved promotion.
He described Ojajuni as a dear friend and brother, whose exceptional leadership qualities, gallant demeanor, and intelligent approach to policing have earned him a reputation as a trailblazer in the force.
Ajadi said: “CP Bode Ojajuni is a friend and a brother in whom I am well pleased. He is a gallant and intelligent police officer who is ever ready to use the varied experiences and training acquired over the years to deliver an effective service delivery in policing. I appreciate him more for his positive and patriotic zeal that has imbued him with obvious leadership attributes. He applies skills and initiative to deliver quality service to his fatherland, and I strongly believe that he will perform excellently in his new position.”
Ajadi further highlighted some of the achievement of Ojajuni over the years.
He said; “CP Ojajuni has performed well everywhere he has worked. In the course of his duty as Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, he established the Human Rights Desk in all Police Divisional HQ and Human Rights Resource Centre at the State HQ for the State Police Command in 2006. This was later replicated in all commands nationwide.
“Ojajuni and Major (Colonel RTD) Kingsley Umoh of 9 Brigade of Nigerian Army Ikeja, established the Military, Police and Paramilitary Forum (MILPOPPROF) in 2006, after the Police/Military clash at Area “C” Command Headquarters, Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos. The objective of MILPOPPROF was to foster and promote unity among security agencies. This Forum has been expanded to Military, Police and Paramilitary formations nationwide and its objectives were largely achieved.
“However, I appreciate him more for the work he did as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of State Criminal Investigation Department, Ogun State Police Command, Eleweran Abeokuta.
“Ojajuni fought criminals tirelessly. He made sure cultism was drastically reduced in the state and made Ogun a very hot place for criminals to hide. This and many more that he did gives me the confidence that he will even do much more in his new position as a CP.”
In conclusion, Ajadi’s glowing tribute to Ojajuni serves as a testament to his admiration for a remarkable individual who embodies the values of excellence, integrity, and dedication to public service. As Ajadi aptly put it, “As a brother and a friend, I want to say congratulations once again and keep up the good work, sir.”
