Tinubu appoints Felix Morka as NTA chairman, APC leaders to top Government Agencies

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the new Board Chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

In another key appointment, he named Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed Buhari from Katsina State as the Director-General of the National Agricultural Seed Council.

The President, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, also approved the appointment of several APC leaders as board chairmen of federal institutions.

Among them, Mallam Muhammad Massan, APC Chairman in Bauchi State, will head the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute in Ilorin, while Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas from Kano State takes charge of the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service.

Dr. Austian Agada, the APC Chairman in Benue State, has been appointed to lead the National Agricultural Seed Council, and Hon. Macdonald Ebere from Imo State will chair the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology in Lagos.

Other key appointments include Ubong Stephen Ntukekpo, APC Chairman in Akwa Ibom State, as Board Chairman of the National Institute for Freshwater Fish in New Bussa, and Chief Emma Eneukwu, Deputy Chairman (South) of the APC, who will oversee the National Automotive Development Council.

Aminu Musa Bobi, the APC Chairman in Niger State, has been appointed to lead the National Library of Nigeria, while Pharm. Abass Olayide from Oyo State will chair the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Kaduna.

Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka from Yobe State has been appointed Board Chairman of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, while Benjamin Omale from Benue State will lead the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu.

Rufus Bature, APC Chairman in Plateau State, takes over the Nigerian Coal Corporation, and Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed Kana from Kebbi State will chair the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies.

Hon. Donatus Nwankpa, an APC National Working Committee member from Abia State, has been appointed Board Chairman of the Project Development Institute (PRODA). Comrade Mustapha Salihu, APC Chairman in Adamawa State, will lead the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), while Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu from Abia State will oversee the National Parks Headquarters.

Other appointments include Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, APC Chairman in the Federal Capital Territory, as Board Chairman of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria in Ibadan; Hon. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi from Taraba State, who will lead the Environmental Health Registration Council of Nigeria; and Sola Elesin from Ekiti State, appointed to head the Nigerian Institute of Mining and Geosciences.

Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, APC Chairman in Edo State, has been named Board Chairman of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, while Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani from Zamfara State will chair the Federal Medical Centre in Azare.

Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel from Jigawa State has been appointed to lead the Federal College of Produce Inspection and Stored Products Technology in Kano, while Barr. Idris Shuaibu from Adamawa State will oversee the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology in Ibadan.

These appointments are part of President Tinubu’s broader efforts to strengthen the leadership of key government agencies and drive efficiency in various sectors.
