President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to working tirelessly for Nigeria’s peace and stability, declaring that hard work and prayers remain his guiding principles.

Speaking in Abuja on Friday after a special Juma’ah prayer session at the National Mosque to mark his upcoming 73rd birthday, President Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for his life and the opportunity to serve the nation.

“I feel good. I feel happy. I thank the Almighty Allah, who has protected us and continues to answer our prayers,” he said.

The President, who will turn 73 on March 29, 2025, emphasised that the safety and welfare of Nigerians remain at the top of his priorities.

“We have prayed for our country. We prayed for the stability and peace of the nation. We prayed that Almighty Allah will safeguard our people and all citizens,” he added.

Tinubu stressed that his philosophy is rooted in “hard work and hard prayers.”

“The word for all of us is hard work. You work harder, and you pray harder. That’s the inspiration I got from today’s sermon. We thank God Almighty that at this stage, we are still in it and working,” he said.

The special prayer session was led by Dr. Abdulkadir Salman Solagberu, the Malami Ubandoma of Ilorin Emirate, alongside other clerics.

Dr. Solagberu assured the President of continued prayers for his health, strength, and wisdom in leading the nation.

He noted that sustained prayers for national peace and stability would foster development and the well-being of citizens.

The Imam of the National Mosque, Prof. Muhammad Kabir Adam, commended President Tinubu and First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for their commitment to supporting the less privileged during Ramadan.

Prof. Adam urged Muslims to maintain their prayers for the President and the nation while extending goodwill to the poor beyond Ramadan.

“Mr. President, Allah is with you, and you will succeed,” he declared.

The Juma’ah prayer was attended by Vice President Sen. Kashim Shettima, Deputy Senate President Sen. Barau Jibrin, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, ministers, Service Chiefs, and members of the President’s family.
