As Nigeria joins the Muslim world in celebrating Eid-al-Fitr, the United Bank for Africa (UBA) has announced a temporary closure of its branches nationwide on Monday, March 31st, and Tuesday, April 1st, 2025.
This in compliance with the Federal Government’s declaration of a national holiday.
The bank said normal banking operations would resume on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.
In a statement, UBA assured customers that despite the extended break, seamless banking services remain available via its robust digital platforms, including the *UBA Mobile App, Leo, 919# USSD Banking, and Internet Banking, all operational 24/7.
To further ensure customer security, the bank reiterated its commitment to fraud prevention, warning customers to remain vigilant against scams.
UBA emphasized that it would never request sensitive personal details such as BVN, card numbers, or PINs, saying that anyone suspecting fraudulent activity is urged to contact the Fraud Help Desk at 0201 2808 800.
With the holiday fast approaching, UBA reassured its customers that their banking needs were covered anytime and anywhere.
