Nigerian actor Jim Iyke has bounced back after facing a major setback with his latest movie, “Light in the Dark,” following its removal from his official YouTube channel, JIMIYKE TV.

The popular film, which amassed over 600,000 views within days of its release, was taken down due to a scene deemed inappropriate by the platform, based on feedback received.

In a heartfelt video posted on social media, Iyke shared his frustration over the situation, but remained resolute in his commitment to the project and his fans.

“This has been challenging, to say the least,” Iyke said, visibly undeterred. “The time, effort, and passion my team put into these projects is inestimable. But I’m not deterred. My energy has always stemmed from positivity and a winner’s mentality.”

Despite the setback, the actor took swift action, re-uploading a revised version of the movie. He appealed directly to his fans, urging them to continue supporting the project by watching, sharing, and spreading the word.

“I need as many people as possible to watch, share, and spread the word. If you supported the first one, or if you missed it, this is your chance to help keep the project alive,” he encouraged his audience. “We’ve been down this road before. Your support and goodwill win the day eventually.”

Jim Iyke’s unwavering optimism has resonated deeply with his followers, with many taking to the comments section to express their support.

“Legendary, but I just finished watching the movie a few weeks ago!” wrote one fan, while another advised, “What you do next time is upload your content and send it for proper review before distribution. It’s all good!”

The new version of Light in the Dark is now live on his YouTube channel, and fans are flocking to the video to show their continued support. With the festive season approaching, Iyke also took the opportunity to send heartfelt wishes to his Muslim fans celebrating Eid ul-Mubarak.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he concluded, adding, “Every view, every share, and every comment makes a huge difference.”
