Three alleged notorious kidnappers nabbed in Benue

Three members of the five-man kidnapping gang allegedly involved in terrorising people of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State are now in the net of security operatives.
The two suspects were arrested at their hideout on Sunday, according to Benue State Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Catherine Anene.
She added that some suspects were also arrested in relation to the activities of the gang.
Anene said the operation is ongoing.
In the same vein, the chairman, Otukpo LGA, Maxwell Ogiri, confirmed the arrest of the three members of the kidnap syndicate.
He identified the suspects as Ibrahim Salleh, Ashimu and Abuh Umaru
“We learnt from intelligence report that they are a gang of five kidnappers. Three have been apprehended. Security agents are going after the remaining two and their collaborators.
“The kidnappers were arrested at Ogoli-Ugboju, on Sunday, based on intelligence report received by security agents in the local government area.
“We also learned that the gang has been giving the people of Otukpo and its surrounding communities sleepless nights for quite a while before their arrest on Sunday”, the chairman said.
