Afrobeats singer, Kcee, has opened up about his past romance with Nollywood actress, Ebube Nwagbo, revealing that they were once the talk of the town and even close to getting married before their relationship soured.
In a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by Temisan Emmanuel, the ‘Limpopo’ hitmaker reminisced about his early days in the spotlight, particularly his high-profile relationship with the actress.
“My scandals were before social media became rampant,” Kcee said. “I was just a young boy dating one actress. Me and actresses were always headlining the papers. I loved actresses back then. Who wouldn’t?”
He went on to mention that their relationship was so public that it often graced the covers of newspapers and was a fixture on the front row of red carpet events.
“I can’t name all the actresses I’ve dated, but I will mention that our relationship was everywhere; Ebube Nwagbo. We were always on the front covers of newspapers,” he said. “We were close to getting married. Whatever happened, happened.”
Kcee, who is now happily married to his wife, Ijeoma, since 2010, has two children with her. On the other hand, Ebube Nwagbo, who is currently single, has had her name romantically linked to several men in the media, including Ogbonna Nwankwo, Emmanuel Emenike, and Ray Emordi.
