President Bola Tinubu has commended the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Felix Morka, describing him as a principled party man, strategic thinker, and steadfast communicator, as he marks his 60th birthday.
In a statement on Saturday, President Tinubu celebrated Morka’s milestone age, hailing his unwavering dedication to the party and his vital contributions to strengthening the APC’s public engagement machinery.
“Mr. Felix Morka is not only a committed party stalwart but also a brilliant mind who has played a central role in articulating and projecting the vision, policies, and achievements of our great party,” the President said.
Morka, a renowned human rights lawyer and urban development expert, is the founder of the Social and Economic Rights Action Center (SERAC) and a former Legal Director of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO).
He is currently the Chairman-designate of the Board of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), a position the President believes he is exceptionally qualified to hold.
The President noted that Morka’s intellectual depth, legal acumen, and communication expertise have significantly enhanced the image and messaging of the APC.
“As National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Morka has demonstrated uncommon loyalty and excellence in the discharge of his duties. His ability to consistently frame the party’s message with clarity and conviction has earned him respect both within and outside our political fold,” Tinubu stated.
Looking ahead to Morka’s new assignment at the helm of the NTA Board, the President expressed strong confidence in his ability to provide visionary leadership to the national broadcaster.
“I am confident that with his experience and dedication, Mr. Morka will steer the NTA towards a new era of high-quality, people-focused broadcasting that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians and promotes national development,” he added.
President Tinubu extended his warm wishes to Morka and prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health, and strength as he continues his service to the nation.
