Michelle Gentry, daughter of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has become the talk of social media after a video of her praying for her childhood friend, Priscilla Ojo, at her surprise bridal shower went viral.
In the emotional clip, Michelle gave a moving speech in honour of the bride-to-be, revealing that their friendship began on Priscilla’s 10th birthday.
She expressed immense pride in her friend’s journey and achievements, stating that witnessing this milestone in Priscilla’s life filled her with joy.
“I have known Priscilla for a very long time. I met her on her 10th birthday. I am so grateful to be here because I was there at her Matriculation, and now I am here for her wedding. I feel so happy seeing that my friends are doing great. I am grateful to God for the life of Priscilla,” Michelle said.
She continued with prayers, asking for divine favour over Priscilla’s marriage. “I pray that the hands of God rest upon this marriage. You will know no sorrow, and your marriage shall be sweet. May God give you and your husband the wisdom to have a successful marriage. I pray that there will not be a delay in having children; you both will have them at the right time. I pray that the will of God will happen in your life.”
The sincerity of her words and her decision to kneel while praying moved many online, with netizens praising her upbringing and spiritual level.
