Police in Kwara State have rescued three children aged between two and twelve years following a kidnapping incident on Saturday.
Security Expert Zagazola Makama quoted police sources as informing that at about 1830 hours, the police received information that a group of about eight hoodlums had blocked the Obbo Aiyegunle/Osi Road and abducted seven passengers from a Sienna bus with registration number FFA 50 XD.
In response, a combined team of police officers and vigilantes was quickly mobilized to the scene.
While recovering the abandoned vehicle, officers also combed the surrounding bush and successfully rescued three children.
Efforts to locate the remaining victims and apprehend the perpetrators are ongoing.
