Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Nigerians to prioritise unity and collective progress as the country marks the Easter celebration.
In a message released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, the Governor said the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ should inspire all citizens to strengthen the bonds of togetherness for national development.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the virtues exemplified by Christ—humility, compassion, selflessness, and perseverance—are essential values that Nigerians must embody to foster peace and harmony across religious and ethnic divides.
He urged Christians to reflect on the true meaning of Easter by making positive impacts in their communities and promoting good neighbourliness and love.
“As we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I encourage all Lagosians and Nigerians to make unity and national togetherness their central focus. Let us touch lives around us and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Lagos State and Nigeria,” the governor said.
