In a series of posts, Henshaw criticized the disparity between the high electricity tariffs and the actual supply received by consumers.

Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has taken to social media to express her frustration over Nigeria’s electricity supply system, describing the current tariff band arrangement as a “huge fraud.”

In a series of posts, Henshaw criticized the disparity between the high electricity tariffs and the actual supply received by consumers.

She lamented that despite being in a band that should guarantee over 20 hours of power daily, she is lucky to get just two hours on a “good day.”

The award-winning actress questioned the logic behind the billing system, stating that consumers are being forced to pay exorbitant rates for electricity that is barely available.

“Paying for 20+ hours of power and barely getting two? That’s not inefficiency—that’s FRAUD,” she wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, Henshaw compared the electricity billing system to the recently collapsed Ponzi scheme CBEX, stating, “This electricity fraud is bigger than the latest Ponzi crash.”
