JUST IN: Kashim Shettima presides over NEC meeting

The Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is currently presiding over the current National Economic Council Meeting -NEC.

The meeting which is being held at the state house in Abuja has State Governors and Deputy Governors in attendance.

The NEC meeting is expected to discuss National issues including state policing, insecurity and overall Economic Growth of the country.

Also in attendance of the meeting is Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas. The newly appointed sole administrator of Rivers State.  The Nation reports that it is his first time attending the NEC meeting since his appointment.

The NEC meeting, being chaired by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, is set to discuss urgent issues like growing insecurity in some parts of the country.

The NEC meeting was last held on the 20th of February, which birthed a program called Nutrition 774, aimed to solve malnutrition in all the local government areas in the country.

The result of the ongoing NEC meeting is envisioned to produce results and ways to solve insecurity and improve the overall state of the country.
