Hausa community backs Olasunkanmi for Agege chairmanship

Members of the Hausa Community in Agege have expressed their full support for Taiwo Olasunkanmi’s chairmanship bid after he picked up his nomination form on Thursday.

Alhaji Sanni Pikin, who led the group to the aspirant, expressed delight at Olasunkanmi’s decision to run for the chairmanship position.

Pikin noted that the aspirant possesses the capacity to govern the council effectively, citing his experience in both academic and social sectors.

“We are pleased to see him aspiring for the Chairmanship seat in Agege, as he is a well-cultured individual with discipline and intelligence,” Pikin said. “We are confident that he will perform well if elected as the council chairman in Agege.”

Alhaji Zango Abubakarr, a resident of the Morikaz Agege community, also described the aspirant as capable and intelligent, with the potential to handle local government administration effectively.

Meanwhile, Taiwo Olasunkanmi, one of the leading aspirants for the Agege Local Government Chairmanship position, picked up his nomination form at the APC party secretariat in Lagos on Thursday. He promised to deliver dividends of democracy to grassroots residents.

Olasunkanmi outlined his development agenda for Agege, focusing on three key areas: infrastructure improvement, youth empowerment, and community engagement.

“My aim is to enhance road networks, ensure reliable public services, and improve healthcare facilities,” he said. “Additionally, I will prioritize initiatives that empower our youth through skill acquisition programs and job creation opportunities. Community engagement will also be vital, as I intend to establish regular town hall meetings to ensure the voices of Agege residents are heard and incorporated into our development plans.”

The aspirant emphasized that his primary focus would be on infrastructure development and public service delivery.

“I believe that a solid foundation of infrastructure, such as roads, drainage systems, and public transportation, would significantly improve the quality of life for our residents,” he said. “I will also focus on enhancing education and healthcare services to ensure that all citizens have access to essential resources.”

Olasunkanmi appealed to APC party chieftains to ensure a level playing field for all aspirants in the upcoming local government chairmanship election.
