Internet fraud: EFCC grabs 15 suspects in Lekki

Fifteen suspects have been arrested by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for alleged involvement in internet fraud in different estates in Lekki area of Lagos State.

The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested by operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, spokesperson for the anti-graft agency said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the suspects were arrested during a sting operation on Friday, April 25 , 2025 at Maple and Jand Court, Royal Pine Estate, Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos,

The arrest of the suspects followed credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.

EFCC listed items recovered from the suspects at the point of their arrest to include mobile phones, laptop computers and cars.

The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
