Grammy-nominated singer, Davido, has shared insights into his father, Dr. Deji Adeleke’s impressive career in the energy sector.

In a recent episode of the American podcast Bagfuel Brigade, Davido revealed that his father made his first million at the age of 23 and now leads a major power company that generates about 18% of West Africa’s electricity.

According to Davido, his father’s company supplies electricity to the government, which is responsible for distribution. “My Dad made his first million like 23. Right now, we supply about 18% of the whole electricity in West Africa,” Davido explained. “We sell the power we generate to the government, because the government has the authority to distribute. Ours is just to generate it and the government decides what to do with it.”
