The Police said they don’t have a clue yet of what led to the death of one Mr Light Nwodor, and his son, Miracle whose corpses were evacuated at Ebebe Junction area of Abakaliki metropolis, the capital of Ebonyi State on Friday.
Some reports circulating online had indicated that the Ebonyi man and his son died following consumption of food prepared by a woman who is on the run
However, while confirming the evacuation of the corpses, the spokesperson for Ebonyi Command, SP Joshua Ukandu, said the police was yet to get the full details of what led to the deaths of Mr Light Nwodor, and his son, Miracle.
He also said he has not been briefed by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO of the area on any arrest made.
“When I was called by an individual about the incident, I quickly called the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the area.
” They swung into action and the dead bodies have been evacuated.
“The police have launched investigation into the matter.
” The command will definitely inform the general public on completion of investigation.
“Right now, nobody knows what caused their deaths, ” he said.
Ukandu also said he had not been briefed by the DPO on any arrest made.
