Popular Nigerian-born saxophonist, Adedoyin Oseni, has been nominated for the award of African Gospel Instrumentalist of the Year, an award presented by Clima Africa.

Adedoyin, who has built a strong reputation both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom for his exceptional musical talent, was nominated and his nomination announced on Clima Africa social media platforms.

He has been nominated alongside other outstanding instrumentalists, including Emmanuel Pee from Ghana, Sabu Satsa from South Africa, and fellow Nigerian, Trento Ojay, in the highly competitive category.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 5th, 2025, at the Maslow Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa — a night expected to celebrate and honor excellence in African Gospel music.

Adedoyin Oseni, whose latest single “Jelenke iLife” continues to resonate with gospel music lovers, is hopeful of adding yet another accolade to his growing list of achievements.

Notably, he was crowned Best Gospel Saxophonist of the Year at the Eko Heritage Awards last year, further cementing his status as one of Africa’s finest gospel saxophonists.

With this new nomination, Adedoyin Oseni’s rising profile in the gospel music scene takes another leap forward, and fans across Africa and beyond will be eagerly anticipating the outcome at Clima Africa’s prestigious event.

Past recipients of this award include celebrated gospel artists such as Moses Bliss, Minister GUC, and Ebuka Songs, who were honored at the 8th edition held in Abuja, Nigeria.
