Forty youths have been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over their suspected involvement in internet fraud in the Tamah Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The suspects were arrested on Wednesday April 29, 2025 in Tamah by operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of EFCC, spokesperson for the anti graft agency, Dele Oyewale said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, the arrest of the 40 suspects followed actionable intelligence linking them with suspected fraudulent activities.
Items recovered from them include five laptops and 34 mobile phones.
“They will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations,” Oyewale concluded in the statement.
