Police in London have launched a manhunt for the perpetrator of a rape that allegedly occurred in Islington.
The reported terrifying attack happened on Dame Street on Monday, March 28, local media report says.
The image of the alleged attacker which was gotten from footage captured on CCTV has been released by the police, warning the public to be careful of approaching the man.
The police are still trying to identify and talk to him.
The footage shows him wearing all black clothing.
He is described as black with a slim build and in his late 20s.
His victim is reportedly under the care of specialist officers.
Detective Constable Stephanie Knight from the Met’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team in north London said: “We have released this image today with the hope that someone will recognise this man. If you do, you must let us know who he is.
“Take a careful look and get in touch via 101, quoting 481/28MAR. The smallest bit of information could prove vital in the investigation. If you do see him, please do not approach and call the police on 999.”
