Alex Unusual blasts Lagos Govt over arrest of homeless people

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Alex Unusual, has expressed outrage over the Lagos State government’s reported crackdown on homeless individuals.

In a series of Instagram Story posts, Alex questioned the rationale behind arresting people simply for not having a place to live.

“Can someone please explain why Lagos State is arresting homeless people?” she asked, visibly frustrated by the development. “What is the crime? Not having a home?”

The media personality, known for using her platform to speak on social issues, said the news had already ruined her day. She further criticized the perceived hypocrisy in the government’s approach to urban sanitation, pointing out that environmental offenders are not limited to the homeless.

“I still see people throwing things out of their cars, even those with houses,” she said.

Alex also questioned the humanity behind the policy, asking, “Why are homeless people sleeping in corners being arrested?”
