NSUK Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan, hailed the project as a landmark in the university’s development.
Advent Integrated Services Limited has sealed a major concession agreement with the Nasarawa State Government, the Nasarawa Investment and Development Agency (NASIDA), and Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), to develop a 4,000-bed student hostel on the university’s campus.
Structured under a 25-year Public-Private Partnership (PPP), the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) aims to tackle the housing shortage at NSUK with modern, secure facilities.
The first phase will deliver 1,152 bedspaces, while later phases will bring the total to 4,000. The complex will also feature amenities tailored to support students’ academic and social life.
At the signing ceremony, Governor Abdullahi Sule reaffirmed his commitment to upgrading educational infrastructure in the state.
“This hostel project is a testament to our resolve to provide safe and secure housing for students within the university premises,” he said, pledging continued government backing and a conducive environment for the initiative.
NSUK Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan, hailed the project as a landmark in the university’s development.
“This will elevate the learning experience and position NSUK among the top institutions in Nigeria,” she said, referencing earlier infrastructure achievements such as the university’s 4.5 km internal road network and Senate Building.
Managing Director of Advent Integrated Services, Mr. Goke Dokun, described the project as more than just infrastructure.
“It is about empowering students, stimulating the local economy, and promoting sustainable growth. With this, Advent now has 7,246 PBSA bedspaces across Nigeria,” he noted.
This milestone signals a transition from vision to execution and underscores the power of PPPs in delivering high-impact educational infrastructure.
