Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi has applauded fellow actress Iyabo Ojo for her maturity and thoughtfulness in including her ex-husband in their daughter, Priscilla’s, wedding.
In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, Ronke expressed admiration for Iyabo’s devotion as a mother, recalling how the actress was always seen with her children while they were growing up.
She said the decision to have Priscilla’s father present at the wedding was not only admirable but also a teaching moment for other women in similar situations.
“I give kudos to Iyabo Ojo. When Priscilla and her brother were young, she always went everywhere with them. She is a devoted mother. I now respect her more when I saw Priscilla’s dad at the wedding. I also learnt a lesson from her,” Ronke stated.
She further urged Nigerians to avoid harsh criticism of gospel singer Tope Alabi, who reportedly excluded her children’s father from their daughter’s wedding. Ronke emphasized that the bride is an adult and might have made the decision herself.
“The girl is 27 years old, maybe she was the one who didn’t want to see her dad. She is an adult. If she really wanted her dad, she would have insisted to her mum,” she explained.
