Set against the backdrop of a remote western Nigerian community and shot on location in both Ibadan and the United Kingdom, The Fire and The Moth centres on Saba, a fearless smuggler who accidentally comes into possession of a priceless stolen Ife bronze head.

With merciless enforcers and corrupt power players hot on his trail, Saba must outsmart them all to stay alive — and keep his treasure.

Director Taiwo Egunjobi described the project as “a tense, character-driven thriller rooted in heritage and greed,” praising Tayo Faniran’s performance as a smuggler trapped in a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Before its global streaming release, The Fire and The Moth will screen on May 11 at the NollywoodWeek Film Festival in Paris, France — offering audiences an early glimpse of the high-stakes drama.

The trailer, now available on Nemsia Studios’ YouTube and social media channels, showcases intense action, gripping suspense, and vivid storytelling, reaffirming the studio’s commitment to bold African narratives with worldwide resonance.
