On Saturday, May 10th, the prestigious Muson Center in Onikan was the scene of glitz, grit, and high fashion, as 21 contestants from across Nigeria vied for the coveted title of Mister Nigeria 2025.
After a fiercely competitive night filled with charisma, sweat, and a heavy dose of stage presence, Somto Alexander Nnoruga was crowned the winner, cementing his place in the growing legacy of the country’s top male pageant brand.
Somto, who represented with undeniable poise and purpose, is a professional model who has walked for notable brands, an aspiring pro footballer, and the founder of Bougie Interiors and Apartments, the very definition of a modern-day Nigerian polymath. And clearly, the judges saw that. His performance throughout the competition was marked by elegance, strong articulation, and a calm confidence that made him an early favorite.
Misters of Nigeria, now in its fifth year, has steadily climbed the ladder to become Nigeria’s premier male pageant. More than just a contest, the organization has created a reputation for molding young men into global ambassadors, men who go on to represent Nigeria at top-tier international competitions like Mister Global, Mister International, and Manhunt International. The pageant has grown its brand into one rooted in substance, social relevance, and a deeper commitment to excellence. In 2024, it was named Male Pageant Brand of the Year at the Eko Heritage Awards, a well-earned recognition of its rapid evolution and national influence.
This year’s edition was no exception. The 2025 ceremony was slick, stylish, and filled with emotional moments, none more poignant than Somto’s crowning. While other contestants brought talent and energy, it was Somto’s full-package persona that cut through: a man with a strong sense of style, but also grounded in real-world impact.
With this win, Somto now steps into a new role not just as a face of Misters of Nigeria, but as a national representative, a voice in the room, and a reminder that Nigerian pageantry is not just about spectacle, it’s about substance.
As he prepares to take his talents to the international stage, there’s a quiet confidence that he’ll make an impact far beyond the crown
