Sen. Ben Murray Bruce says Afrobeat singer Davido has what it takes to become a governor in Nigeria.
Bruce said this in a video he posted on his verified X handle on Sunday where he backed up his claim with reasons.
“David Adeleke, the global phenomenon better known as Davido is undeniably an international artist and a true Nigerian superstar. He stands as one of Nigeria’s most valuable cultural exports. However, beneath the surface of this music icon lies a side that many may not be aware of. He is by his own admission, a political animal with deeply held views and a clear cut political ideology,” Bruce said.
He also stated that he would not be surprised if the singer decided to venture into politics since he has close family members as political mentors.
“This should not be entirely surprising when you consider the DNA of the Adeleke Family. Considering all of these, the thought that Davido himself could one day aspire to become the Governor of Osun State seems more like a potential trajectory. Especially if his political inclinations are nurtured and strategically channeled.
“Davido, if you run, I predict you will win,” Bruce added.
