Falz, a Nigerian musician has stirred up controversy with a statement he made on Sunday.
Falz shared his opinion on his X account stating that fornication should not be considered as a sin.
“Fornication is not a sin,” Falz wrote.
This statement has stirred up numerous reactions from fans and followers and has amassed over one million views.
While some have stated that he was privy to his own opinion, others have called him out saying that he was promoting immorality.
One user, supported the statement while giving his interpretation from a Bible verse.
“He is right. Fornication is not a sin in the Bible, it is a western or modern construct. In the Jewish tradition, if you deflower a young lady, as long as it is consensual, you pay her bride price and marry her right away. Exodus 22:16,” he wrote.
