The Nigeria Forest and Security Service (NFSS), Kano State Command says it received 115 complaints in the month of April.
The Public Relations Officer in the command, Usman Umar disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Kano.
Umar said that the service was trying it’s best to live up to its mandate in the prevention, detection of crimes and illegal activities perpetrated in the forests.
He said that out of the 115 complaints received, 85 had been treated and done with, while 30 were pending.
“Most of the cases were on animal theft, phone theft, phone theft, motorcycle theft, kidnapping, robbery among others”, he said.
He assured that the NFSS would continue to secure and make forest free of crime.
