Hay, of Gauden Road, Clapham, was convicted of rape, attempted rape, and two counts of sexual assault at Inner London Crown Court on Monday, 10 March and sentenced today, Tuesday, 13 May 2025.
His crimes date from 2014 to 2023, including a harrowing 2023 incident where he raped a woman after meeting her while working at a bar in Clapham.
Hay reportedly encouraged the woman and her friend to continue drinking elsewhere and later plied the victim with alcohol until she was unsteady. He then lured her back to his home—shared with his mother—where he raped her.

In 2014, he groped a woman in her 20s at a party in Clapham. In 2016, he attempted to rape the same woman. In 2018, he sexually assaulted another victim in a taxi in south London.
Detective Sergeant Damian Jones, who led the investigation, praised the courage of the survivors: “While nothing can undo Hay’s horrific crimes, I hope this sentence brings some closure. It’s because of these women’s bravery that he’s now behind bars.”
He added that Hay’s imprisonment removes a dangerous predator from the streets and reaffirmed the Met’s commitment to tackling violence against women and girls.
