Tragic Ride: Woman dies from brain injury after fall from newly purchased horse

Heartfelt tributes have flooded in for Louise Goudman, 40, who tragically passed away after falling from her beloved horse, Bobby, just weeks after purchasing him.

The heartbreaking accident occurred on May 2, 2025, when Louise, a passionate animal lover, suffered a fatal brain injury while riding Bobby.

According to The Sun, despite valiant efforts to save her, she was declared brain-dead three days later on May 5, just a week before her 41st birthday.

Her grieving partner, Malcolm Cameron, shared an emotional tribute, saying, “Louise died doing something she loved. She adored animals and would never have blamed Bobby, even with his flaws.”

The Glasgow livery where Louise was a client described her as a dedicated rider who had been experiencing some initial struggles with Bobby, but they were working hard to resolve the issues.

However, the tragic fall resulted in a fatal head injury, and Louise never regained consciousness.

In a noble act, Cameron set up a fundraising page to help cover the costs of Bobby’s care and upkeep. He explained, “We wanted to do what was best for Louise, and that meant ensuring Bobby was looked after properly.”

The tragedy has left the community in shock, with the South Cathkin Farm, where Louise had kept Bobby, paying tribute to her kind spirit.

“Louise was a lovely, kind soul and true animal lover. We’re devastated by her passing,” the farm said.

The fundraising page has already raised over £3,000, with many sharing emotional tributes.
