Nkechi Blessing under fire over breakup with boyfriend Xxssive

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has come under fire from social media users following her public revelation that she has parted ways with her boyfriend, Xxssive.

The actress disclosed in an Instagram story that the relationship ended last year. Despite the split, she noted there is no bad blood between them and celebrated her return to singlehood by joining other single ladies in shouting, “God when?”

In a video post, Nkechi further announced her decision to keep her future relationships off social media, saying the experience had taught her to maintain privacy.

However, her announcement didn’t sit well with many online users, who accused her of seeking attention.

“Nkechi just dey grow old come dey reduce for sense,” one user, @i_am_sa_m, commented.

“I’m not hating, but this lady needs to calm down for now,” @cherii_coco wrote.

Another user, @arewasynthia, added, “Nkechi and attention na 5 & 6. Don’t be shocked when you see them both chilling tomorrow.”

While some criticized her, others offered a more sympathetic view, with @ezinnediary stating, “We listen, we don’t judge,” and @her_majestynessa adding, “I hope she keeps her relationship private this time.”

Nkechi Blessing began dating social media personality Eseoghene Obire, popularly known as Xxssive, in 2021 following her breakup with Ekiti State politician Opeyemi Falegan.

Though their relationship had been trailed by breakup rumours last year, the couple dispelled speculation when Xxssive surprised her at a beauty launch event.

At the time, Nkechi clapped back at critics by sharing a loved-up video with Xxssive, declaring that she would only show the public what she wanted them to see.
