As preparations intensify ahead of the forthcoming 2027 General and Presidential Elections, the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has made a significant political pronouncement regarding the stance of his constituency and state.
In an emphatic declaration, Senator Akpabio revealed that the people of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, as well as the broader population of Akwa Ibom State, have collectively and unequivocally expressed their full endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, himself, and the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, as the preferred and sole candidates for their respective positions in the upcoming 2027 elections.
According to him, this endorsement implies that all three individuals are being supported to contest unopposed by the people of the state.
This announcement was made on Friday during a major event in the district, which marked the second phase of Senator Akpabio’s constituency empowerment program.
The program featured the distribution of resources and support to over three thousand beneficiaries, alongside the official commissioning of several development projects across Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
Senator Akpabio also expressed deep appreciation to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, acknowledging his instrumental role in fostering unity and peace across the state.
The Senate President praised Governor Eno for his peaceful disposition and steadfast commitment to godly principles, highlighting that both his demeanor and actions consistently reflect a man of integrity and spiritual grounding.
According to Akpabio, the Governor’s sincerity and ability to fulfill his promises have been pivotal in uniting various stakeholders and maintaining harmony in the state.
Akpabio said: “Let me thank Governor Umo Eno because he is a man of peace. He is a man of God, both in attitude and action. He has been able to bring us all together in Akwa Ibom, and that is why we are enjoying peace in the state, because he acts on his words.
“President Tinubu is very happy with Akwa Ibom State because of the peace in the state through collaborations of Governor Eno and the President of the State, which has brought development to the state.”
